The volunteers will teach English at the University of Labour and Social Affairs for 4 hours a day, either in the morning or in the afternoon. In addition, volunteers will take turns in groups of two to help at the English club held by the university on Saturday mornings (about 2-3 hours).
The volunteers will teach to social work and human resource management students who are 20 to 23 years old, have a pre-intermediate to intermediate level of English, and have difficulties with speaking and pronunciation. Each class comprises about 40 to 50 students.
Volunteers will live in the university’s dormitory reserved for special guests, which is located on-campus. Wifi is not available in the rooms, but can be accessed in the student’s dormitory nearby and at the university. There is no kitchen in the rooms but the volunteers have access to the cafeterias on-campus, where they can get a meal for approximately 1CHF.
