The volunteers will teach from Monday to Friday for around six hours per day. They will be assigned to a certain department. While teaching, they will be assisted by an English lecturer from the school. In every class, there are 30 to 35 students who are in their 4th semester. The student’s English level varies but is rather low to intermediate. Students especially struggle with speaking.

The volunteers will live in pairs of two at the “LTP Guest House – Wisma Tambora”, which is located at the campus of the university. Therefore, the volunteers will be able to walk to their classes. The housing includes a bed, wardrobe, small kitchen, Wi-Fi, shower room and a toilet, an outside laundry, and a lobby.

Costs for the Volunteers
PIECES covers the costs for board and lodging during the stay with a sponsorship. The volunteers are required to bear the costs of the flight and all kind of costs arising from transportation, visa application, travel health insurances and vaccinations.
